Group 1 Instrument Rating (Multi-Engine)

Ready for the last step before employment? A Group 1 Instrument Rating allows you to fly a multi-engine aircraft in IMC and above 18,000 ft. IMC stands for Instrument Meteorological Conditions and essentially means flying through cloud and low visibility conditions.

Training will consist of many initial sim sessions to familiarize you with IFR procedures before stepping into the plane. Our sim is equipped with a replica of the GPS we use in our twin - the Garmin 430 - experience with which will serve to reduce pilot workload in the cockpit.

** It is strongly recommended that you complete your INRAT (instrument written exam) before beginning flight training. This will help training move along more quickly and cheaply.**

**Either Instrument course qualifies for student aid. You can get up to $15,000 in student loans for the instrument course alone.
